Technology and company development

Warehouse automation is becoming a complete systems business

Exotec combines warehouse robots with storage equipment and software. Its offering illustrates why a robotics company may be both a machine manufacturer and a systems integrator. The customer is buying a flow of goods through a facility, not just a fleet of moving robots.

The company now presents Deepsky as software for coordinating the wider warehouse. This broadens the comparison from storage and retrieval to the way inbound goods, picking and other equipment work together. Other French records below address different needs, so warehouse throughput is not a sensible measure for every robot on the page.

Questions worth asking

Model the peak hour as well as the average day. Ask what happens during a blocked station, a maintenance stop or an order mix change. Include software integration and the space needed for expansion in the business case.

Coverage and how to read the figures

This page contains 8 directory records connected to France. It is a selection, not a ranking or a count of the country’s entire robotics industry. Founders and financial research are still incomplete for some profiles. Existing source dates are preserved.

Revenue measures sales over a reporting period. Funding is capital raised. A valuation belongs to a dated transaction or market measurement. Contract values, acquisition prices and production targets are labelled separately. Parent-company results are not attributed to a robotics subsidiary.

Company sources document what a supplier says or reports. They do not turn product claims into independent tests. The project questions are editorial evaluation criteria rather than reported results.

Robotics company profiles in France

5 sourced profiles covering robot hardware, software and related engineering work.

Commercial

Enchanted Tools

Enchanted Tools develops mobile service robots designed for indoor assistance and logistics tasks.

Location
Paris, France
Founded
2021
Products and activities
Mirokaï
Project evaluation and source details

For Mirokaï, define the item, pickup interface and destination handoff in the indoor task. Count accepted deliveries and the time staff spend loading or recovering them. Expressive interaction and completed logistics work should be assessed separately.

Founder, revenue and valuation research has not yet been completed for this record. No figures have been estimated to fill these gaps.

Exotec

Exotec develops warehouse automation centered on mobile robots that move storage bins between racks and workstations.

Location
Croix, France
Founded
2015
Products and activities
Skypod system
Project evaluation and source details

Assess a Skypod installation through accepted orders and workstation utilization during peak demand. Include replenishment, bin access and queue delays. Storage access by one robot is only one step in the order-processing workflow.

Founder, revenue and valuation research has not yet been completed for this record. No figures have been estimated to fill these gaps.

Naïo Technologies

Naïo Technologies develops autonomous electric agricultural robots for weeding and crop operations.

Location
Escalquens, France
Founded
2011
Products and activities
Oz, Ted, Orio
Project evaluation and source details

Choose Oz, Ted or Orio from the crop layout and implement. Measure treated row length, surviving weeds and crop injury, including headland turns. A field trial needs the crop stage and spacing to explain where the result applies.

Founder, revenue and valuation research has not yet been completed for this record. No figures have been estimated to fill these gaps.

Pollen Robotics

Pollen Robotics develops open research platforms for manipulation, teleoperation and human-robot interaction.

Location
Bordeaux, France
Founded
2016
Products and activities
Reachy 2
Project evaluation and source details

For Reachy 2, check the arm, gripper, cameras and teleoperation interface in the proposed configuration. Evaluate a complete remote pick and placement, including operator delay and resets. Source availability does not establish that a policy succeeds on your objects.

Founder, revenue and valuation research has not yet been completed for this record. No figures have been estimated to fill these gaps.

Wandercraft

Wandercraft develops robotic mobility systems, including a self-balancing rehabilitation exoskeleton and an industrial humanoid program.

Location
Paris, France
Founded
2012
Products and activities
Atalante X, Calvin
Project evaluation and source details

Keep Atalante X rehabilitation evidence separate from Calvin industrial work claims. For rehabilitation, review the participant group and outcome measures; for industry, request completed physical task trials. Evidence from walking assistance cannot establish factory manipulation performance.

Founder, revenue and valuation research has not yet been completed for this record. No figures have been estimated to fill these gaps.
