Introduction
PrimeBOT, branded as Qiyuan Robot in China, put the Q1 and T1 on sale in China on September 20. Both base models are priced at RMB 19,999. The Q1 Explorer is RMB 26,999, while the T1 Pro is RMB 29,999. Chinese reports say orders are scheduled to ship from October 1.
The two machines aim at different types of use. Q1 is a compact 88 cm biped focused on customization and development. T1 is about one metre tall and can switch between a wheeled humanoid configuration and a quadruped configuration. Comparing body design, software access and operating conditions gives buyers more information than treating both as interchangeable personal robots.
Information verified from official sources available as of September 24, 2026.

Specifications are based on PrimeBOT material and Chinese launch reporting reviewed on September 24. Configuration and market availability can change.
Q1 is the smaller development and customization platform
Chinese launch material lists Q1 at 88 cm tall with 22 force-controlled degrees of freedom. It can fold for transport and supports replaceable or 3D-printed exterior parts. PrimeBOT's developer site provides a Q1 ROS 2 SDK package and a desktop tool for connection, logs, video, motion control and simulation.
That makes Q1 relevant to developers who want a small physical platform for motion, interaction or education projects. A purchase decision should still check which interfaces are documented, which joints are commandable through the public SDK and what warranty terms apply to custom shells or motion code.
PrimeBOT markets the robot for personal use, education and companionship. A classroom may value repeatable scripted motion and easy resets, while a home user may care more about noise, charging, supervision and safe contact.
T1 trades a pure biped form for two mobility modes
T1 can switch between a wheeled humanoid form and a quadruped form. IT Home reports a height of about 100 cm, mass around 16 kg, battery endurance around two to three hours and a 3 kg carrying load. The company also describes automatic obstacle avoidance, identity recognition and autonomous charging.
The wheeled form can reduce the energy and balance demands of indoor travel. The quadruped form is intended for terrain that benefits from four points of support. A buyer should test the transition on the surfaces they expect to use, including thresholds, ramps and loose outdoor ground.
PrimeBOT also positions T1 for following and filming. The useful camera test is whether framing, obstacle handling and tracking remain stable while the user changes speed or direction.
Both prices need a complete ownership calculation
A base price of RMB 19,999 does not include every cost a developer or overseas buyer may face. Shipping, taxes, replacement batteries, accessories and support can change the delivered cost. Availability can also differ by market.
Software access belongs in the calculation. PrimeBOT's developer community lists Q1 and T1 ROS 2 SDK packages and PrimeConsole tools. Teams should confirm which functions are released for their exact hardware revision before planning a project around an advertised capability.
Home operation also adds supervision. Track human assistance per operating hour during an evaluation period so recurring resets and charging help remain visible.
The first useful comparison is mobility, access and repeatability
Q1 suits experiments centered on a compact biped, customization or development access. T1 suits tests that depend on wheeled indoor motion, quadruped travel or camera-following behavior.
Repeat the same route or interaction many times, move objects and furniture, change lighting and record every intervention. That gives the owner a failure pattern rather than a collection of successful clips.
Public specifications make the products easier to compare, while long-duration home reliability data remains limited.
Limitations and missing information
- Several product descriptions use company labels such as personal robot. Those labels do not establish autonomous household performance.
- Long-run reliability, intervention rate and home safety data were not published with the September 20 sales announcement.
